The highly anticipated calendar of events for 2024 was launched by the Royal Malta Yacht Club this evening to its members.

The calendar was designed to keep in mind the various interests that the Club’s members have – whether seasoned racers. seeking the thrill of competition, an adventurous cruiser yearning to explore the open waters, or a dinghy or keelboat enthusiast embracing the joy of smaller vessels, the Club’s sailing calendar was meticulously designed to meet as many interests as possible. 

“A lot of thought has been put into the the design of the 2024 calendar, stemming from our belief that the sea is meant to be explored in various ways, and our calendar reflects this commitment to inclusivity” commented Adrian Gauci Borda, Rear Commodore (Sailing).

For the thrill seekers, the Club has prepared a host of racing events which test the skills of all those navigating the waves with precision and determination. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the Club has ensured that cruising classes and events are on the calendar aiming to build a stronger cruising fleet, taking it further afar from our shores. Dinghy and One Design Class racing enthusiasts are in for a special treat this year with two international events taking place in Malta. 

“We are very happy with the response received to the 2024 Calendar. This year we have seen an increase in participation from all areas of sailing and we hope to extend this increase into the forthcoming year.  This will also be thanks to the sponsors who support such events. The Club is very grateful towards these sponsors, as they really add an edge to our events”  concluded David Cremona, Club Commodore.
