The Royal Malta Yacht Club marked the festive season with its annual Boxing Day Rally, organised in support of L-Istrina, the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation’s flagship fundraiser.

Twenty-one boats took to the water, decked out in Christmas decorations, for a friendly sail out to the Fairway Buoy and back. The atmosphere at the Club was warm and celebratory, with participants and supporters enjoying traditional mince pies prepared by Committee Member Amata Camilleri.

There were loud cheers as Commodore Mark Napier announced the winners of the festive competition:

                  •               Best Dressed Boat – Stella R (skippered by Steve Carter)

                  •               Best Dressed Female Sailor – Alexandra Kunath

                  •               Best Dressed Male Sailor – Mario Zerafa

Commodore Napier also confirmed that the Club would match the donations collected on the day. A generous €2,000 was raised, which will be doubled through the RMYC’s contribution – a total of €4,000, further supporting this important national cause.
