Results of Sailing School efforts producing results at international level.
Royal Malta Yacht Club Sailing School crews joined over 200 boats, representing 23 countries at the RS Feva World Championships which took place in Follonica, Italy.
The Club contingent, led by Sailing School Head Coach, Ruya Cakmakli, was represented by Vanja Ramm-Ericsson / Maia Delin, Molly Butler / Maxi Butler and Rosie Durrant / Fien Vlasbom.
Crews took part in a series of qualifying events which took place over two days before being split into Gold, Silver and Bronze Fleets for the final series. Ramm-Ericsson and Delin and the Butler siblings made it to the Silver fleet, whilst Durrant and Vlasbom made it to the Bronze fleet.
Ramm-Ericsson and Delin, who recently brought home the Junior RS Feva European Championship trophy to Malta once again left their mark on the international scene. Apart from placing 9th in the Silver fleet they also placed third in the Junior World Championships. The Junior Class had 22 participants.

Meanwhile, Molly and Maxi Butler placed 46th Place in Silver fleet, whilst Rosie Durrant and Fien Vlasbom placed 32nd in Bronze fleet. This was the first international competition for the latter duo.
The RS Feva Class has fast become the world’s leading double handed dinghy for youngsters and is a stepping stone towards Olympic Classes such as the 29ers and 49ers.
