The highly anticipated Rolex Middle Sea Race edition of The Spirit of Yachting was released on 27 November, capturing all the hallmarks of this offshore classic.

The 2025 edition saw 110 of 117 starters successfully complete the course — a testament to the remarkable skill, endurance, and determination of the fleet as they navigated the demanding geography and ever-changing weather patterns of the Mediterranean.

Maxi 72 Balthasar delivered a standout performance, rebounding impressively from a forced retirement at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup just six weeks earlier. Skipper Louis Balcaen and his crew secured overall victory through bold, tactical sailing that ultimately paid off.

Rolex has partnered with this Mediterranean offshore epic and its organiser, the Royal Malta Yacht Club, since 1968, as part of the brand’s nearly 70-year commitment to supporting the sport of sailing.
