A sizeable fleet took part in the annual fun event the Boxing Day Fun Race.

The event, which is more of a fun day out on a boat rather than a race, saw RMYC Rear Commodore Sailing Peter Dimech send the fleet to the Fairway Buoy and back.  Sailing School students also took part in a number of races in Marsamxett.

In between contributions by participants and a donation from the Club, a total of €2,000 were presented to the Malta Community Chest Fund annual initiative L-Istrina.

Fernando Grech’s boat KonTiki won the prize of  “Best Dressed Boat”.
