The ILCA U21 World Championships in Dublin have come to an end after a challenging week of racing in windy offshore conditions.

Mathew Flores delivered a solid performance in the ILCA 7 Men’s fleet, qualifying for the Gold Fleet and finishing 48th overall in a highly competitive international field.

In the ILCA 6 Women’s fleet, Lara Merten finished 61st overall, showing great determination throughout the event.

It was a tough week for both sailors, with demanding weather and strong competition, but they stayed focused and resilient until the very end. This experience marks another important step in their development as part of RMYC high-performance sailing pathway.
