The RMYC Sailing School was represented at the ILCA 4 Youth European Championships in Poland by Tom Ellul, Jonas Micallef and Kaine Muscat. They were joined by Emily Fenech (Birzebbugia Sailing Club) and Thomas Wilson (Malta Young Sailors Club). The RMYC Crew were accompanied by coach Karliss Junkers.

The ILCA 4 Youth European Championships in Poland were marked by highly variable weather conditions, ranging from bright sunshine and moderate, steady breezes to periods of light, shifting winds and even strong gusts that impacted the race schedule. Sailors had to adapt to both calm and challenging conditions, with some days offering ideal sailing weather and others presenting unpredictable wind patterns and occasional strong gusts that limited racing.
After three days of qualifying races, our RMYC sailors delivered strong performances!
Jonas Micallef secured a spot in the Gold Fleet, while Tom Ellul and Kaine Muscat made it into the Silver Fleet—a great result for Tom and Kaine their first international regatta and both racing in the U16 category.
Following the last days of racing in the Gold and Silver Fleet, Jonas Micallef (Gold Fleet) finished in 35th Place.

Tom Ellul racing in the Silver fleet finished in 22nd place.

Kaine Muscat, also racing in the Silver fleet finished in 38th place.

Well done to Thomas Wilson (Silver) fleet who finished in 59th Place and Emily Fenech (Gold Fleet) finished in 38th Place.
The RMYC Sailing School thanks the Maltese Olympic Committee, SportMalta, the Malta Sailing Federation and Visit Malta for their support.
