Kevin Pisani Zammit, skipper of the Farr First 45F5 Dimm, is gearing up for his first-ever Rolex Middle Sea Race with a dedicated team of sailing enthusiasts. Together, they have been honing their skills and forging a strong bond on the water, ever since Dimm was acquired from Croatia.

Initially far from race-ready, both the boat and crew have made significant progress. “The name Dimm came with the boat. Like the crew, Dimm has come a long way, and being part of this journey, she will not be renamed,” says Kevin.

The team has been actively preparing by participating in most of the Royal Malta Yacht Club’s races, including their first offshore challenge to Licata, where they finished third. Their main goal for the Rolex Middle Sea Race is to complete the course, gain valuable experience, and strengthen their friendship.

The 45th Rolex Middle Sea Race

The Rolex Middle Sea Race is a 606nm offshore classic. It is often mentioned in the same breath as the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and the Rolex Fastnet Race as one of the ‘must do’ 600 milers. Featuring a circular route, tow active volcanoes and a host of other islands, the course has a unique splendour not to be missed.
